The Reds MUST be able to get more out of the ace of their staff than another 15 loss season (or maybe more) from Harang. I wouldn t give him up for nothing, but if he could bring something decent in return, he would be gone. Maybe Arroyo too. It would depend on the package that I could get in return for both of them. Trading one or both of them could help free up a little payroll for this offseason. And finally, third, I go out this offseason and acquire a veteran bat (leadoff hitter or batting average, RBI hitter) to plug in that lineup for 2010. This team needs to take drastic, bold measures if it is going to see success again anytime in the near future. The status quo simply isn t working. The Reds need a shakeup, and a big one. Enough is enough of the losing around here. We ve all heard the excuses about why the Reds can t do this and can t do that. It s time to hear about why the Reds CAN win. The past 8, going on 9 seasons have been pathetic, and an embarrassment to this city. Are the Reds going to go down the road of the Cardinals and Brewers, or will they continue down the road of the Pirates? The rest of this season and the offseason will greatly help to tell that story.
